Menu for breaking fast one day last week....

Been wanting to make Goreng Cencaru Sumbat since beginning of the fasting month but just did see the right size of the cencaru, either its too small of too big. Until one day last week, i found the cencaru size that i like he happy i got a ringgit worth of shredded coconut, a bit of chili api, a few red onions, tumeric, tumeric leaves and of course salt to taste. After filling in the mixture of pounded coconut and the rest, deep fried the fishes( i bought 2) and i felt like a small kid eagerly waited the time to break fast.....

This is Chef Wan's version of daging dendeng quite similar to my blogger friend, ms hart's Ayam Bali recipe.
Dessert was Banana Choc Chips Muffins, courtesy of Chef Wan's too!

Hello Zaitgha, alamak oi! Dapat wangi ikan goreng tu sampai sini, ha ha.
I hope you cooked enough rice? Tiga pingan should be just nice, arhaaa ha ha.
I have not eaten this fish suda lupa bila pun.
Ohhh, you call it 'ikan cincaru goreng sumbat'?

I can just eat this fish, add sambal belachan.....ooops! You ada buat sambal belachan? Ha ha.
By the way Zaitgha, I remember some Malay friends who made this ikan goreng sumbat, had the chillie sambal and I think blimbing too, and limau perut.
I guess each have their own recipie, huh?

Zaitgha, you are one heck of a gourmet cook! I love this ikan goreng, between choice of dinner with Sophia Loren or your house makan ikan ni....your house! Ha ha. Siap empat pingan, ha ha.

Okay, bila ada dinner invitation, tidak boleh datang tangan here are 2 cake recipies for you.
Elvis Presely's favourite cake made by his Mother Glady's, and later his cook....

Butter and flour a 10-inch tube pan.

Thoroughly cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in half the flour, then the whipping cream , then the other half of the flour. Add vanilla extract.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Set in a COLD oven and turn heat to 350 degrees F. Bake 60 to 70 minutes, until a sharp knife inserted in cake comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes.

Remove from pan and cool thoroughly.
Then invite Uncle Lee come for coffee.
