You ada buat sambal belachan? Ha ha.<BR/>By the way Zaitgha, I remember some Malay friends who made this ikan goreng sumbat, had the chillie sambal and I think blimbing too, and limau perut.<BR/>I guess each have their own recipie, huh?<BR/><BR/>Zaitgha, you are one heck of a gourmet cook! I love this ikan goreng, between choice of dinner with Sophia Loren or your house makan ikan ni....your house! Ha ha. Siap empat pingan, ha ha.<BR/><BR/>Okay, bila ada dinner invitation, tidak boleh datang tangan kosong....so here are 2 cake recipies for you.<BR/>Elvis Presely's favourite cake made by his Mother Glady's, and later his cook....<BR/><BR/>1/ ELVIS PRESLEY'S POUND CAKE.<BR/><BR/>3 cups granulated sugar <BR/>1/2 pound butter, softened <BR/>7 eggs, at room temperature <BR/>3 cups cake flour, sifted twice, divided<BR/>1 cup whipping cream <BR/>2 teaspoons vanilla extract<BR/><BR/>Butter and flour a 10-inch tube pan.<BR/><BR/>Thoroughly cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in half the flour, then the whipping cream , then the other half of the flour. Add vanilla extract. <BR/><BR/>Pour batter into prepared pan. Set in a COLD oven and turn heat to 350 degrees F. Bake 60 to 70 minutes, until a sharp knife inserted in cake comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes. <BR/><BR/>Remove from pan and cool thoroughly.<BR/>Then invite Uncle Lee come for coffee. <BR/><BR/>2/ HAWAIIAN POUND CAKE<BR/> <BR/> Yield: 1 Servings<BR/> <BR/> 1 c Vegetable shortening; crisco<BR/> 1 Margarine<BR/> 2 c Sugar<BR/> 6 Eggs<BR/> 2 c Cake flour<BR/> 1 ts Vanilla extract<BR/> 1 ts Butternut flavoring<BR/> 1 c Flaked coconut<BR/> 1 cn Crushed pineapple; small<BR/> <BR/> Drain pineapple and reserve the juice. Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs (one at a time). Add cake flour, vanilla, butternut flavoring, coconut and pineapple. <BR/>Bake in a 10 inch tube pan for 1 hour and 25 minutes at 325 degrees.<BR/> <BR/> Icing: 2 c. sifted powdered sugar and juice from canned pineapple.<BR/> <BR/> Mix well with mixer. Pour over hot cake while still in pan.<BR/> <BR/>Zaitgha, kalu you buat these cakes, hantar saya telegram....just 3 slices of each boleh, ha ha.<BR/>You stay easy and jangan lupa your RayBan bila keluar, terima kaseh seribu for the ikan goreng dinner, 'buuurrrrup', x'cuse me!
