Baby of the house birthday on 1st Nov...
Uploaded the pictures long ago but really I was suffering the "M" sickness at the largest scale.... When asked if he wanted a party for his 11th birthday, he said no....he only wanted to eat Chicken Chop in Co*y C*or*er Ampang Park. Hmmm good enough. so we went on Saturday a day before his actual birth date. But on Sunday i just baked a choc cake and cooked my signature rendang cili api to mark the occassion and the grand ma made pulut kuning to give to next door neighbors. Honestly, he is the easiest boy out of my 3 boys to take care of so far even when he was inside me for the 9 months...Alhamdullillah.....

Report card day and a pencil case......
I just had a report card day with my eldest son's teacher just now. I had done it with my 2 younger boys' teachers last week. My Angah did worst than the first test but my Baby did so bad, i felt like whacking him with the report card. As usual my eldest, did alright, not excellent but he improved so much from the first test. On the way home, my mind wondered to when i was the boys age. No parents - teacher meeting like this was done. If there was my dad being a policeman would not be able to make it and my mum being illiterate herself would not be comfortable going to the school. I never had any tuition. But my siblings and i had to arrange our school bags on the dining table so that when my dad came home, he would scrutinized our exercise books and initialed the last page siap tulis the date. Some of my teachers would ask about it but a few who had taught my older siblings would know. The only times the teachers would see my parents would be on 'Hari Penyampaian Hadiah' which was once a year or if i did so badly in the exams. If not, the saying of No news is good news was being faithfully observed he he.....
What i noticed lacking nowadays were the lackadaisical attitude from most teachers( pls ya.. not all). They do not know how to get the children interested in the subjects that they are teaching. Hence, the mushrooming of tuition centers everywhere. The last enthusiastic group of teachers that i met was when the boys were in nursery. During my school days, the teaching in school plus the homeworks given were enough for most student to excel during the exams. At times, i really wish i can afford a private school for my boys. However, no point pondering so much about this, i just try to do the best for the boys.
Talking about the boys, my eldest is a fussy one, just like the father. To get a pencil case for him also can be very challenging. Until i remember my blogger friend Ummi65. Visit her here for more beautiful works that she had done. I requested from her on Monday and i received the case on Tuesday.....what a service! Thanks Ummi, I love it, he likes it....he said kalau yg nih dah rosak, he wants all Black punya he he......

Paint ball anyone??.....
On last 2 Saturday, hubby's office had a paint ball competition amongst the staff. However, a few people couldnt make it, they got the staff's children to join. Hence, my 2nd boy was in one of the team. His team won the competition but the father's team didnt make it to the final. Since i was not there, lets the picture tell the story.....
Strategizing......
The team to be reckoned with.....
With the winning cups.... Proudly sitting on his desk now
The father goofing around....not sure before or after the games....

Request from London to Bangi.......
I delivered the cupcakes and muffins to Bangi for kak Teh yesterday. When she left words in my earlier posting comment box about ordering the cupcakes i was very excited at the same time nervous. Her request was simple, to have her nieces and nephews name on the cupcakes. I started baking the cakes at 7 in the morning, followed by the muffins. Topping of chocolate ganache i made the night before because it needed to be set for at least 5-6 hours. I made it while watching the Hindi movie, Bobby during the advertisement. By 10.00 am, the cuppies and muffins were packed in the boxes. We went up to Bangi to deliver the goods and we went to a shop selling baking stuff near the area. Got my baking ration and was back home at 2.30 pm.
And this morning, when having breakfast with my 2 younger boys, the conversation went like this
Mama: You know last week i send the cake to Pd sorang coz none of you nak temankan i...order tu dari Moscow.
Baby: Moscow tu kat mana Ma?
Mama: kat Russia
Mama: And semalam i went to Bangi dengan Ayah, order tu i dapat from London...
Baby: Uuyooo....mama nyer cupcakes go internationalllllll.......
The Angah couldn't be bothered as his nasi lemak was more important than talking about my cupcakes he he.....he went to get a second helping of nasi lemak.....then off we went to the schools to get their exercise and activity books.....

Adios 2008 and Welcome 2009....
Never been one who made new year resolutions. Seldom reflecting what happened to me at the year end or at any specific time, I do that when i feel like reflecting anytime during the year. I just finished watching Bobby an old Hindi movie which i saw first time when i was 8 or 9 years old. It was during the birthday celebration of Sultan of Kelantan where the movie was shown almost a month long on the white cloth screen in the middle of a football field near my house in Kota Bharu. I made chocolate ganache and choc paste for tomorrow cupcakes order. The 2 younger kids were already in a slumber land, so was the hubby. I can hear footsteps of my eldest in the kitchen maybe having a drink. It is almost 3 am on 1st Jan 2009. No celebration or firework in Seremban in respect for the demise of the last Yam Tuan . However I would like to wish A Happy New Year to all of you who read this blog of mine. Hope and pray that 2009 will be better for all of us.....The rascals at home.....
I was at awe with what i saw before the sunset on the way to Lumut last weekend. Subhanallah......

Happy Birthday Abang....
I had mentioned somewhere sometimes ago that month of August is my good month for the whole year. That was because many life altering occasions happened to me in August. One of those was the birth of my first born on 17 August 1993. Just a year after i got hitched he he...He is a true blue Klite, once in a while asking me if we ever moved back to KL. (betul2 anak mak nih ha ha ha).He was an easy baby for the 9 month i was carrying him and until now. His ambition changes like the four seasons in the west ha ha ha.....he wanted to be a teacher once, chef at one time and doing something with astronomy the last i was updated a few weeks ago. He requested a tiramitsu for his birthday cake. He wanted the original version not the one frosted with that white2 cream he said.....ha ha ha...

Cheap labors......
When i had big quantities of muffins to bake and pack, I had to rely on my boys' assistance. Most of the time they only got me to cook their favorite food for the payment he he....the eldest asked for Daging dendeng, the middle one asked for spaghetti and the youngest asked for french toast. Better than an Indonesian helper isn't it ha ha ha........

Happy Birthday darling.......
Friday morning around 6.45 am. The actions were fast paced. My 2 1/2 year old toddler was fast asleep and strapped securely in his car seat at the back. I was already in the passenger seat while the hubby was locking the front door and i felt like going to the bathroom. My due date was 2 weeks away. Quickly i got my hubby to hold on and i went into the house and to the bathroom. Oooppss..i saw 2 drops of blood ......went into the bedroom and grabbed the pre-packed bag and told the hubby we could not go to work that day. We send my first born to the baby sitter and drove straight to the hospital. With the weekdays traffic along Jalan Gombak, we reached the hospital about 9.00 am. Checked into the hospital and thanking God that the doctor was already in. He did his stuff and by 10.00 that morning, i could hear my 2nd son screaming his lung out to the world. I heard soft shaken azan recited by my hubby beside me and i could see his teary eyes. Then he showed me the most adorable ugly baby in the whole world. He had Bart Simpson's styled dark hair, 2 huge eyes with tiny little baby wrinkles around them, flat nose like the father and i just cried of joy. That was 12 years ago on 8th of March 1996, Muhd. Zulfarhan came to the world. He was an easy baby and by 3 months old his 2 dimples were very noticeable. He is the joker in the house and the most active. The birthday boy making face to the birthday cake on 9th last Sunday as Saturday was a voting day. I knew i had a lot to do for this birthday do but i just could not sleep without knowing the GE results. I ended up going to bed only after 3 am on Sunday.
Football theme birthday cupcakes by groggy mum ha ha ha. By the time everything was over, i just fell flat on the bed for an hour. I woke up to the maghrib azan and i thought i dreamed the whole thing which happened that day.
simple spread of food, lighted 12 candles and yellow sticky rice with chicken rendang
the kids enjoying the food

The love of my life....my boys
To typical mothers in the world, our children are everything to us. They are our joy and our sorrow. What we would not do for them ya..... We beam with pride for their achievements and hold and sooth them when they are down. They have our unconditional love and we do our best to give them the best..... Pity them ya...gotta sleep in the living room while their rooms are being hacked down for a little extension. I asked them to stay with the grandparents just across the big road near the house they refused. Maybe too comfortable in their own territories.
The younger one was eyeing the abang's nasi lemak during breakfast, the long hand belong to the dad pinching the yummy mamak's fried chicken. The dad is boss anyway, so can pinch but the adik just 'buat muka seposen' jer la ha ha ha....
This picture was taken earlier this year when we were at Bukit Merah. Time sure flies as we are approaching 2008 in a few weeks. The younger two boys had gain a few more kgs since then.
