Something different....

This happened during the last school holidays. Sometimes i call school holidays as mating seasons he he...i am actually quoting a fellow blogger here.
I did a lot of baking during that holiday and i was getting giddy just looking at loads and loads of muffins, cupcakes and cakes. So when there was a last minute request to bake cake for cake cutting ceremony, i suggested using yellow rice for something a bit different than most. I had seen people in KL doing it, but yet to come across in Seremban. Surprisingly, my suggestion was accepted. One thing for sure, i had gotten a lot of questions while putting on the simple deco consisted of cherry tomatoes, chili padi, curry leaf , mashed potatoes and bits of carrots.

The reason i put up this posting because I saw 2 pictures in latest Rasa magazine showing the using of yellow rice for weddings and i think this trend is catching on he he...

I agree with you pulut kuning as wedding kek is accepted nowadays and to me it is a very good trend. Cakes has been used for many occasions, like birthdays, celebrations, even as a reward to me to be exact, so using pulut kuning is a good way of starting a new life because during the old days people says that pulut kuning is for good luck if I am not mistaken. do correct me if i'm wrong

Salam Zai
Cantik pulut kuning tu. Tak salah untuk buat untuk majlis perkahwinan, terutama kalau sema memotong kek, memakai traditinal dress.
Kalau pakai coat/dress potong pulut kuning mungkin ada jangal sikit kot... (Tapi di Malaysia ni sekarang, semua pun boleeeh).
