Blueberry Muffins

I went up to KL 2 week ago and bought blueberry. Not easy to find this in N9, so i just bought for my kiddos. I put it in the fridge and completely forgotten the existence ha ha ha. Lucky i realised i had blueberry in the fridge after 2 week, if not it would be wasted if it gotten spoilt. so i ended up baking the muffins for tea last week.

Recipe adapted from Australian Women's Weekly cooksbooks titled " Muffins, Scones and Breads".

2 cups selfraising flour
3/4 cup packed softbrown sugar
1 egg lightly beaten
1/2 vegetable oil
3/4 cup buttermilk (alternate - a slightly less than 3/4 cup milk plus 1 tbls butter)
1 cup fresh blueberries

Stir dry ingredients and mix the rest in large bowl. Dont overwork the mixture. Make 12 std muffins

alamak.... all the way to KL to get blueberries?
a real chef, you are!

do you also watch nigella and jamie on travel and living?

you know, the australian women's weekly recipes are some of the simplest to understand.
i am no cook but i remember masa dulu (20 eyars ago) when i was not married and then married-without-kids-yet, i wanted to make pasta and pizza for my lovely nephews and nieces.
i looked up the australian women's weekly recipe book. i never thought i could understand the recipes... and i made the dishes. they made it all look so simple to do.

yes, i'd recommend the australian women's weekly recipe books to anyone.

Nuraina,

i dont go to kl just to get the berries la....i was born and raised in KL, so i go there quite often...many time told my friends that i would go to KL just to breath the air ha ha ha....most of my people are still there....like the saying can get a girl out of KL but cant get the KL out of a girl he he....anyway both shows are my favorites and i watch surf the menu and surreal gourmet too...but of course jamie is my no 1, but his books are so damn costly ( pardon the language) ....u r right abt australian women's weekly recipe books, i have a few in my collection..they r less expensive compare to jamie's anyway ....thanks for dropping by

I subscribe to Bon Appetit magazine for ideas. Yet to try more recipes in there. Looking at their pictures is satisfying enough. haha
